Who Benefits from a War with Iran?*

Surely not my fellow Americans here at home...

Iran’s interior minister, Ahmad Vahidi, told state television that most of the casualties were from the second explosion, which followed minutes after the first, as crowds had gathered to help the injured. He said the situation in the city of Kerman was now under the control of security and military.

“We will God willingly deliver a big slap to those responsible for this terrorist attack,” said Mr. Vahidi.

“They are mistaken to think our resolve will be broken by such cowardly attacks.”

The explosions came four years after an American drone strike assassinated General Suleimani, the longtime commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps’ powerful Quds Force, at Baghdad airport.

I hope whomever planted those bombs to kill and injure civilians on a pilgrimage is brought to justice.  You don't want civilians being killed here in America to avenge the deaths of innocents.  Nobody wins by continually upping the death count...

I hope the American president addresses the country today as more and more details are learned about this terrorist attack on Iran.  We need to stand with all innocent civilians killed going about their everyday lives, whether they be Israelis resting at home attacked in the middle of the night, or Iranians marching to pay tribute to their dead.

This is like gangland wars now:  killing the "other team's" people at the funerals, and inspiring retribution for those who planned the attack... and their alleged supporters.

I hope Joe Biden is back from vacation soon, and capable of finishing out his term.  A lot of foreign policy fires in the world to put out today;  you'd hate to think the Biden administration is letting the Netanyahu team influence our war policies, while the executive branch here at home overrides the Congressional role of declaring war, and the anti-war protests of the people on the streets are ignored and those in powerful leadership roles silenced if they even suggest thinking, in context, of the wisdom of supporting our allies as they descent into a never-ending death spiral to kill all of their enemies to make the world safe for their own...

* or, Somewhere In Hell Today, a Crispy Cooked John McCain is laughing... while a tear rolls down his cheek as he works that firey hellpit alongside history's losers and mass murderers like Henry Kissenger.

"bomb bomb bomb Iran indeed" ... Somebody ask Nikki Haley what she thinks about the latest developments in Iran?  Sorry, she not getting elected in this country anymore than Liz Cheney is.

(If she does win, you'll know the fix is in...)
