What if "the government shutdown" is a ploy to put government workers out of a job and not hire them back...?

 If the shutdown goes well, do we really need all those workers? the thinking will go.  (Remember when Reagan fired and replaced all the striking air-traffic-control workers who thought their jobs essential?)

I'm not saying it is a healthy plan for the country, but cmon... see what's coming?
