What I Don't Understand...

Why does everyone hate on Donald Trump when he has not yet cost taxpayers a dime, sounds practical regarding which wars we will -- and will not -- pursue, and even acknowledges that Planned Parenthood provides women with reproductive care education and medical treatment?

Why don't the media commenters and the everyday public hate on George W. Bush instead?

He cost us trillions, laughs at his actions, and is the primary cause of the destabilization of the Middle East, and potentially Northern Africa.  No joke.  We're still paying, and we're still involved... so much for Change We Can Believe In.

Are we really that far removed from the lives of the refugees on the run, carrying only what they can take on their backs. Those Syrian children washing up on the shores... did America's weaponry and support of the "insurgents" to overthrow their government help put those children there?

I think we did.

We might not want to own up to our responsibilities, but just as the deadly weapons here at home cause big troubles when they end up in irresponsible hands, so to are we arming men to the teeth over there, whom we don't even know.

Trump may have had to interrupt, and yell, but what he was saying needs to be heard:  Who are are "supporting",  and arming, exactly?  Where DID all the money we taxpayers pumped into Iraq and Afghanistan go?

I can understand the military hierarchy supporting these stupid wars:  job security, some semblance of respect, early retirement, easy disability pay -- for your offspring too! -- if you don't want to work when you return home and can find a sympathetic doctor to "diagnose" you for long-term disability...

But the rest of the country?
We need Donald Trump to point out the truth, because otherwise the elites do not hear us.  Isn't it better to deal with honest verbal anger now, rather than waiting until the masses rise up?

What exactly is the long-term plan for those who are benefitting under the current economy?  A nice retirement villa in Mexico, with all the servants and good life they can buy?  Will they want to stay in America, once these inequalities become hardened and the poor have to eat the rich?  Will they want to raise children here?

I can't see it.  How the elite think they will win, while everyone else is losing thanks to the decisions made to invest in Middle East wars over our needs at home, and to provide a social safety net so strong that more and more people are finding it safer to jump onto piddly fixed incomes than to earn their way up?

If they don't see the growing difference in the Two Americas now, when will they?  When it's too late?

DONALD TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT
Because we need honesty now more than ever.

(It will be interesting to see if George W. Bush feels safe showing his face in public, even in South Carolina.  If I were him, I'd pray things get better here at home, for his own personal safety, and that of his family, in the years to come.  He's killed a lot of families, intentionally or not.  And they sure didn't make our country any safer, no matter what his adoring little brother thinks.  And that mother, Barbara Bush?  Just like she labeled Geraldine Ferraro so many years ago... she's a bitch!  a rich one too, no matter how old.  No wonder her sons turned out to be such screwed up boys, trying to prove something to the world and asking the rest of us to share in the costs of their pain._)
