The Prettiest Sound

 Third floor, southern view, brick building, radiator heat included in the rent with a themostat in each apartment and windows at both sides of the shared hallway exits to allow the cross breeze.

They turn on the heat early for the colder and older people, and those first floor lower level apartments so cool in summer are likely starting to crisp up in the mornings now too.

So even though my heat here isn't on, the radiator has been gurgling at me for days now.  At night when the busy street outside, and the building, is totally quiet, it's the only sound you can hear.  I move my little mattress around during the year, as I like to sleep in the moonlight and under the windows in the fresh air during summer and the open-window months..

Like sleeping on the beach, except the gurgle of the water doesn't follow the predictable pattern of the waves.
