A Double W.
Althouse on Kagan: a Will Wreaker?
Nevermind analyzing how she's done in her career as a judge before considering her for the top job, the questions get spun to: does the candidate have the requisite personal characteristics that would contribute to working success in the jobs that traditionally lead to the Big Leagues? An empty resume (for the job) evaluation.
President Obama jumped from junior senator to President based not on prior experience, but on promise -- on an academic evaluation of how he'd perform. We know Elena Kagan has great test scores too. Let's all cross our fingers and hope for the best again?
I trust, with no clues revealed, that this woman will wreak the right kind of will.* Just like Althouse trusted in both W. and Obama before her.

* Not.
In fact, I think "stacking" the courts -- a Trojan Horse, of sorts -- will lend even less legitimacy to an institution that many believe is already highly politicized, with appointees being put up because of promises to "deliver" and remove certain key issues from the people, to the People Who Matter. (ie/ those who think better, having gone to the Big Brand schools like Harvard, and those Out East.)
