I actually lost my sight in the left eye before my surgery in August 2021 -- blurry to the point of not being able to read road signs (glasses don't help with cataracts) and with the right eye blurring as well.  I had White Cataracts and an excellent surgeon.

PSA: protect your eyes the best you can, and invest in the lenses that best meet your needs going forward

It doesn't matter how Woke we might be if we can't see.  I have never felt more frightened in my life -- with a sense of how small my world became -- when I lost the ability to fully see.  I imagine it might be worse than not being able to hop up quickly and walk whereever you need to go, as well.

You don't know what you've got until you've lost it, but oh the life changes you can make on the other end when you learn to appreciate daily what good physical health permits you to do in this life.

* I could not read, and late in the progression, even the Large Print books were failing me.  I built my lifestyle around books.  I read; in retirement, I had my riches set aside.  The Biblical stories about regaining your life when you regain your eyesight?

You don't need to read a book it to understand how great God is, working today through humans hands of our medical miracle-makers to help people build up better lives to serve others.  The Doctors are the real heroes we ought to be thanking for their services... right after the Nurses.

A society that shuns Science to laud their soldiers is not a healthy society.  That is why, for all the fearmongering about former New York businessman Trump (whose reputational baggage pissed off all the MSM and political-establishment people who did everything they could to subvert his message of focusing on the needs of OUR nation), Ron DeSantis is the one who will foster the fall of democracy in the lesser parts of our nation should he be elected commander-in-chief:  Mark my words.

The country really ain't playin'.  Can you see that from where they've seated ya?
