 when baseball season rolls around?  When the snow melts away, do the Cubbies still play in their ivy-covered burial grounds? ....

RIP Steve Goodman.  Go Cubs Go! * (a great anthem for a lousy team but remember, it was written pre-2016 which seems long ago, but was when we were still living in the Days of Hope, and an alleged Chicagoan was in the White House...)

Here in the East Metro of Minneapolis-St. Paul, the morning snow is falling again, and the plow/salt trucks just drove by, so it's a slippery one.  Will be melted soon enough, but is adds up on the roads, lawns and cars in the morning.  Nasty weather. Weekend's supposed to be warmer...

Chicago's counter-cheer? "Let's Go White Sox!" ("...when it comes to baseball, we've got two favorite clubs... The Go-Go White Sox... and whoever plays the Cubs!)  Rivalries, heh.   They make every big city stronger really...
