 You're up, Mr. Transportation Secretary.  No joke.  He's going to get tested quickly now, and we'll see if he's up for the job... I didn't have much confidence "Mayor Pete" was qualified for the top leadership position, and even less that the lumberjack turned reality stat turned attorney turned politician has much expertise in transportation.  He just happened to be in office when decades of work to open a bridge between Minnesota and Wisconsin came to fruition.

Hopefully Rachel, the reality-star wife turned journalist, will have help with the children still at home, because I suspect Sean Duffy will be working round the clock in the coming days...

He's the Transportation Secretary, not just a family man now.  Step up and lead your agency?  Find the answers the country needs.

Jet Carrying 64 Collides With Army Helicopter

• An American Airlines flight from Wichita, Kan., plunged into the Potomac River near Reagan National Airport after the midair collision, officials said.
• Officials have not given any information about casualties, but a senator from Kansas suggested that there could be many fatalities.

to provide more than $70,000 to fund Minneapolis PRIDE celebrations, which replaces the $50,000 the Target corporation has been donating annually, that the PRIDE organization told them to keep after Target backed away from it's commitment to diversity. 

It's a shame, but if you can't or won't stand by people now, you can keep your money.  Good to see people with money stepping up to put it where their mouths are.  Either all of us matter, or it's just hypocritical to play consumers with your previous public stances.

In other news, the wealthy suburb of Lakeville is voting tonight at their school board meeting whether to continue putting up posters like, "We're All In This Together" and other inclusive diversity messages.
