Damn right, I'm a Kenny Bednarek fan!

The Rice Lake kid who went from Junior College (juco) sprinter to Olympic silver medalist is still running...  Next race: tomorrow in Zurich.  Tune in mid-afternoon if you have access to Peacock.

Pro tip - When you feel an emotion don't numb it. It'll only make it feel worse later. Feel it fully then let it go. Emotion is energy. We must let it pass.

Are you and your children prepared for Drone Attacks in your American City?

Best be prepared.  Our military is ensuring we will see them in use against civilians on our streets, one day.  Pray for wiser minds to empower and lead us in this country ("Love Your Neighbor as You Love Yourselves":, or  not.)  (When we have a weak president at home, the military seizes the moment and begins leading us, with the tools in their toolbox:  Rule of Force -- not reason -- and military minds leading an essentially defenseless country with exposed civilan spaces...  If you love your way of life, how can you jusify this.... warring with a superpower, allegedly "on the cheap?  Any America adults still paying attention?  Don't you love your children too, as the Russians surely do?)

May 2023:  Drones have taken center stage during the war in Ukraine. Initially, Ukraine capitalized on the Turkish-manufactured TB2 Bayraktar drone to help disrupt Russia’s invasion, including by sinking the Moskva, Russia’s acclaimed guided missile cruiser. In the second half of 2022, Ukraine took the unprecedented step of building an “army of drones” to consolidate earlier gains, incorporating both smaller, tactical drones as well as civilian drones modified for military use. At the same time, the United States has sent over 1,000 “kamikaze” Switchblade drones, sometimes referred to as “loitering munitions,” to Ukraine as part of its security assistance packages worth $40 billion. As the war has dragged on, Ukrainian officials have requested more advanced drones from the United States, which U.S. policymakers have been reluctant to provide.

The Pentagon announced its 45th package of wartime military aid to Ukraine on Tuesday.

WASHINGTON, July 25 (Reuters) - The U.S. Department of Defense announced $400 million in additional security assistance for Ukraine on Tuesday, including air defense missiles, armored vehicles and small drones, as Ukraine's counteroffensive against Russia grinds on.  The new aid package, which was first reported by Reuters, will include for the first time U.S. furnished Black Hornet surveillance drones made by Teledyne FLIR Defense, part of Teledyne Technologies (TDY.N).

America Doesn't Have "Colonies" of our Own...

... and I don't think with the extemists in power, Israel will continue to enjoy an Israel-like relationship with US taxpayers.  Demographics are changing. Our allies need to learn independence.

The "new Jewish-American media" -- the men writing for privately-financed "newsletters" -- are perhaps providing a false impression to Mr. Zelensky.   Washington DC and the East Coast do not represent the American people.

If hard times come, America's people must come first. To "give away" billions to the "defense" industry during a pandemic does not equate to lifelong support, from a little territory that is not ours, nor has proven capable of "winning", even with unlimited financial support.  Congress hasn't declared a war.  We won't take on another country like Israel in the 21st century; truth be told, with the extremists in power, Isrel too will likely be weaned from the teat...

Don't Wait for Memorial Day. Take a moment to consider what each death does to a family, not yours.

Two years ago today in the evacuation of Afghanistan, when America finally admitted we were not there  to keep America free and had no business in that country trying to modernize their culture or save souls with guns...  Thirteen U.S. service members were killed.  They had an average age of 22 years, and came from towns across our country:

-------------------------
*  It seems so long ago.  We thought we might have a period of peace, but here we are:  500,000 estimated dead in the Russian-Ukraianian conflict, being underwritten by U.S. taxpayers today.

The evacuation of Maui, from the wildfires was a similar clusterfuck.  Roads blocked. No warning sirens. No water to fight the fires.

You hate the think the old people in power, and the incompetent hirees with connections (whether nepotism or checking the right identity box) will cause more deaths, out of negligence or intentionally sacrificing up others for personal gain.

#RespectLife  (without that, America is lost)  #ValueTheYoung (without them, the old people will continue promoting their own, at the expense of the rest of us.)  RIP to the heroic 13.  More like them, please.  Less "leaders" like Biden.
--------------------------
This one alone is worth 100 Hunter Biden's, even in his pre-drug days.
Staff Sergeant Knauss was “a motivated young man who loved his country,” his grandfather Wayne Knauss told WATE-TV in Knoxville, Tenn. “He was a believer so we will see him again in heaven.” He had been in the military for five years, his grandfather said, and his stepmother told the station that he had planned to move to Washington when he returned to the United States. One of his former teachers said he had been “quiet but confident” in school and that he had written an essay that said his role models were people who stand up against power to help people. “He wrote that nine years ago as a 14-year-old boy, not knowing the man he was going to become,” Angela Hoffman, the teacher, told the station.

And yet it's Hunter who sups in the White House, denies his child until forced to take responsibility, and cashes out on his... paintings.  Joe Biden is getting progressively worse with his dementia.  (it gets harder and harder to deny.)  And young men are being killed by the dozens because the oldster in Congress think it in Western business interests to "free" Ukraine...

This is normal now? No!  Stop worshipping the gun. Protect life via love, education and pursuing peaceful ways of settling differences.  We're gonna learn later rather than sooner, but eventually... we will learn to reject the men who promise peace through power of Force, abroad and at home. No Bond for the Black Guy

One of two black defendants in the election-interference criminal cases in Fulton County has been denied bond and will remain behind bars, locked up until a later date as a potential flight risk, a Georgia judge said.  Harrison Floyd was head of Black Voters for Trump in Georgia, and reacted angrily when sheriff's deputies came to serve a warrant at his home.

He is the only one of the defendants who represented himself (no attorney) and did not negotiate a bond deal before turning himself in.

Floyd told Judge Emily Richardson that legal counsel was too expensive, costing between $40,000 and $100,000. “I can’t put my family in that kind of debt,” he said. Floyd was previously charged with assaulting an FBI agent earlier this year. According to federal investigators for the case, he yelled at, pushed and struck an agent who was serving a subpoena at his Maryland home for federal special counsel Jack Smith’s election fraud investigation. Richardson cited the open case as a reason to remand him to jail, and called him a flight risk. She said the final determination on whether he will receive bail is up to the judge who will handle his trial. “I do find that based on the open charge against you there are grounds for bond to be denied at this point,” Richardson said. “So I’m going to go ahead and find that you are at risk to commit additional felonies and a potential risk to flee the jurisdiction.” A date for his next court appearance has not been determined.

(It just looks bad, and if you do not think B/black voters read newspapers and are watching, you are wrong.)  What a shame the politicians are parading our criminal justice workings into their fight.  Now, they are even talking up a new, novel way to use the 14th amendment to try and strike Donald Trump's name from primary ballots.

Shame.  Sure looks like they are getting desperate, and admitting they cannot "get Trump" at the ballot box.  Funny thing is, that's what this is all about, isn't it?  Trump dared contest the 2020 election for "shenanigans" to use a word sadly co-opted by Team Biden.

You'd think a head-to-head match, re-run would be the Democrats preferred way to settle things instead of making up all these reasons why the former president, twice impeached, is not fit to be the Voters' Choice.  But back to the subject, how many B/black voters are joining Team Trump because they know how this works?  All they have to do now is hammer Kamala Harris' record as a criminal prosecutor in California, and I predict B/black voters will either stay home in 2024, or get in there and privately pull the lever for the man being mistreated by the criminal justice system because... the People in Power can do that here today.

Gird your loins;  it's a long way to 2024, and some players aren't exactly sure-footed, in their minds either.  Joe is declining, and Trump is gathering momentum.  Anybody with a modicum of justice in their souls understands what will happen in this country if they try to lock up the People's preferred policial leader to install a man who just wants ice cream, or a nice treat every time the press asks him a question he doesn't hear or understand...

Youth Rising  Boomers aging. Unequal wealth, with no way of lifting oneself up unless they are willing to sell their souls, support the killings for profit, and join the club currently in power. They can't pass everything on to their kids.

Tomorrow is the second anniverary of the deadly evacuation from Afghanistan.

Bob Barker has left the planet.

I honestly thought he had left us long, long ago.  99 years young.  A vegetarian since 1979.  The consummate showman;  a class act.  Check out his skills here, including the witty banter.

* From the February 25, 1985, episode of THE PRICE IS RIGHT. Those prices!

Fail Safe.

I wonder... if the military planners who envision "taking out" Vladimir Putin are not so concerned about retribution here at home.  Would they intentionally sacrifice up Joe Biden, or proceed with their plans because they see Joe would be a collaterol loss if they are playing "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth?

America has proven in the past -- in this deadly century -- that we believe assassinating foreign leaders is fair game.  God forbid it come home to us here.

Who is In Charge of this War Anyways?

The people funding it, or the people fighting it? Hm.

Ukrainian Commander Urges More Defenses in the Northeast

You can always call and ask for clarification when you need it.” Patient: “Thank you very much, Clara Fication!

I think Ukraine Took Down that Plane, Likely with American Help

We're good like that, and like Israel, that's how we fight now*:

UKRAINE DISPATCH ‘He Has Blood on His Hands’

In a Ukraine village, there are no tears for Yevgeny V. Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner private militia, whose presumed death in a plane crash was reported this week.

Putin Had Every Reason to Want Prigozhin Gone

So did the Ukraine... Praying these war skirmishes come to a merciful end before we lose all respect life and think killing our way to victory is the answer.  Who would have thought George Bush and Dick Cheney would usher in the 21st Century Dark Ages?  Stupid is as stupid does. America is so much better than this.  Our diverse demographics coming up won't continue on the killing policies of the Old White Men currently in power; mark my words.  We won't be propping up the Pentagon for many more generations:  they're bloated and a money dump.  We will fight more leanly and efficiently in the future.

That's how you win in the game of life.  Defend yourself, sure, but Live and Let Live. Compete via trade, and growing knowledge, not by putting military muscle over your wisest minds...

Going on Record then...

I'm not rooting for Russia.  I am rooting against Ukraine.  The sooner that little country gets beat back into submission, the sooner they stop taking my tax dollars for immoral purposes. #NotInMyName.

* Who am I to ask you to fight MY wars?, and you should know that's true...  Pass the hat already you skeezers who support this, and don't make the rest of us complicit in your deadly sins. "Thou Shalt Not Kill. Thou Shalt Not Kill. Thou Shalt Not Kill..."

No tears now when it's your people being killed.  Let's just pray it ends mercifully fast, and the retribution is swift and targeted to hit those who support the ongoing bloodshed.  If this is all they value of life, they deserve what I suspect is coming.

Boom. Hit 'em hard, already.  and if America loses a good chunk of the East Coast... so be it.

War is an enemy to all mankind!

War can't give life.  It can only take it away...  Good God, y'all!

What is it good for?  Absolutely nothing.  Listen to me!

moving on

You know what I'm ready for? The first deep frost. It always kills off the mosquitoes for the year. You start to enjoy the great outdoors once again. In fact, can anyone think of one bad thing to say about autumn? Yes, that's our habit here, at the farmette: we always look forward to the joys of the next season.

Show Them Who You Are and Where You Come From, Kenny Bednarek.

You'd never know from this sad headline that Kenny won his heat, and had the second fastest time in the semi-finals.  No respect.  He's just going to have to win in the finals tomorrow.

American Kenny Bednarek, the Olympic silver medallist, ran 19.96 for the second fastest time, edging Letsile Tebogo of Botswana, the 100m silver medallist who crossed in 19.97. Bednarek glanced across at Tebogo just before the finish line.

"I wasn't playing mind games (with Bednarek) at the end there," Tebogo said. "He looked at me and in my mind I was like, 'Why is he looking at me? Just keep going, keep going'."

Lolol.  Get in line, Mayor, get in line...

More than 100,000 migrants have traveled to New York City from the southern border over the past year, and more than half of them have taken refuge in the city’s shelters, straining the system.
“New York has shouldered this burden for far too long,” the governor said. “There does not appear to be a solution to this federal problem any time soon. This crisis originated with the federal government, and it must be resolved through the federal government.”

Where my Christian attitude at, New York City?  You're a sanctuary city, and for people who eat OUT multiple times a week, surely you can afford some more (underpaid, non-citizen) workers?  Lolol.

I hope Texas and New Mexico start trucking up em up non-stop now...

Prigozhin Listed as Passenger on Plane That Crashed, Killing All 10 Aboard

Russian authorities did not confirm whether Yevgeny Prigozhin, the Wagner mercenary leader, was on board when the jet crashed near Moscow.

Frustrated over the country’s military leadership, Mr. Prigozhin, the outspoken tycoon who built the private paramilitary force that has fought on Russia’s behalf in Ukraine and across Africa, instigated a short rebellion two months ago with his Wagner forces that posed a grave threat to the government of President Vladimir V. Putin. Despite his actions, he has appeared to move about freely in the mutiny’s aftermath, including meeting with Mr. Putin on June 29.  Mr. Prigozhin insisted that his mutiny was not aimed at Mr. Putin, but at the defense minister, Sergei K. Shoigu, and Russia’s top uniformed military officers, who he said were bungling the war in Ukraine. For months, he had complained publicly and profanely that they were incompetents and back-stabbers, while claiming that Wagner deserved credit for battlefield successes.

First the pipeline, then then dam, now this...   Who is behind such evil over there, and when will it end??  It's hard to keep score with a scorecard;  all the more reason the United States should not be mixed-up in this business.
