Jesus is the Vine and We are the Branches...

His banner over me is LOVE...

His banner, over me, is love.

How sad that the world is going to let Binyamin Netanyahu choke out the life in places like Bethlehem, as if that would keep our Messiah from coming to this evil and hate-filled world.  I feel sad for Israel.  It's a self-fulfilling prophecy...

I'm glad I believe in the New Covenant and accept Jesus Christ as my Messiah.  When will Others seek the truth and stop harming others to help themselves and their own?

The World Lost a Good Man Today.

The headlines might be all about Henry Kissinger, but imagine if he had the talent of Shane what he might have done other than slaughter so many innocents...

"MacGowan sought to bring the power of Irish folk music to the rock scene, with his writing drawing from literature, mythology and the Bible. “It became obvious that everything that could be done with a standard rock format had been done, usually quite badly,” he told the NME in 1983 as the Pogues were getting off the ground. “We just wanted to shove music that had roots, and is just generally stronger and has more real anger and emotion, down the throats of a completely pap-orientated pop audience.”

The Evil the New America Must Overcome in the 21st Century

This is not us.

This is not America at our best.

This is the evil we must collectively repent of and turn the page from if our country is to advance and restore the American Dream for all of us in the coming years...

#Evil Is As Evil Does  #War Criminals

#Not in Our Names

#HowManyInnocentLivesHaveTheseTwoTaken?

Shane MacGowan was Twice the Man Kissinger Was...

Their legacies are telling.  One man was just and right, the other... not so much.

Lyrics
Oh, farewell you streets of sorrowAnd farewell you streets of painI'll not return to feel more sorrowNor to see more young men slained
Through the last six years I've lived through terrorAnd in the darkened streets the painOh, how I long to find some solaceIn my mind I curse the strain
So farewell you streets of sorrowAnd farewell you streets of painNo, I'll not return to feel more sorrowNor to see more young men slain
There were six men in BirminghamIn Guildford there's fourThat were picked up and torturedAnd framed by the lawAnd the filth got promotionBut they're still doing timeFor being Irish in the wrong place and at the wrong time
In Ireland they'll put you away in the MazeIn England they'll keep you for seven long daysGod help you if ever you're caught on these shoresThe coppers need someone and they walk through that door
You'll be counting years, first five, then tenGrowing old in a lonely hell'Round the yard and the stinking cellFrom wall to wall, and back again
A curse on the judges, the coppers and screwsWho tortured the innocent, wrongly accusedFor the price of promotion and justice to sellMay the judged by their judges when they rot down in hell
You'll be counting years, first five, then tenGrowing old in a lonely hell'Round the yard and the lousy cellFrom wall to wall, then back again
May the whores of the empire lie awake in their bedsAnd sweat as they count out the sins on their headsWhile over in Ireland eight more men lie deadKicked down and shot in the back of the head
You'll be counting years, first five, then tenGrowing old in a freezing hell'Round the yard and the lousy cellFrom wall to wall, then back again
Counting years, first five, then tenGrowing old in a lonely hell'Round the yard and the lousy cellFrom wall to wall, then back again

Is there a place for the hopeless sinner who has hurt all mankind just to save his own skin?

He's dead just like all the innocent people he chose to kill to advance his life here on Earth.  Weak, small, pitiful... dead.  What Kissinger feared most of all came for him at last.  Was it worth it, I wonder?  The added years he got, the sullied reputation, the lack of a repenance in the end?

“The illegal we do immediately,” he quipped more than once. “The unconstitutional takes a little longer.”...

In a just world. Mr. Kissinger would be walking toward eternity passing all of the "little lives" that he so nonchalantly took in his life here on Earth to advance himself.

His memory is not a blessing. He will be remembered by future generations for the evil he created for his own advancement.

lol

Ok, who remembers the Hill Street Blues episode where Bobby and Renko get called out to police the salad bar, and the guy who won't leave dies while they are on the call, face down in a bowl?  lol.  This headline reminded me of him!

Red Lobster’s Popular Endless Shrimp Deal Ate Into Its Profits

Wha?

People are allegedly getting decades in prison, and being held for months to years before seeing trials, because of their participation just being there in the Capitol on Jan. 6, and this person fires on deputies and gets... two years?  Something funny is going on it seems like...

The Lessons His Failures Could Teach Us Today...

Kissinger’s five year bombing of Cambodia (which, by credible estimates, killed 100,000 civilians), along with his “savage” (Kissinger’s word) bombing of North Vietnam, was motivated by the opposite of realism: to try to bring about a world Kissinger believed he ought to live in (one in which he could, by the force of military power, bend peasant-poor countries like Cambodia, Laos and North Vietnam to his will) rather than reflect the real world they did live in: one in which, try as he might, he was unable to terrorize weaker nations into submission. “I refused to believe that a little fourth-rate power like North Vietnam does not have a breaking point,” Kissinger once complained.

"Break Off What You Want From the Big Cookie..."

lol, think of how many ways you could drop that in daily conversation, really...

in a gruff tone. Imma do it.

"Stop with the ruminating, woman."

Lol, she bured his comment here, but I have to laugh and agree with the partner of this female blogger I read, who has... concerns:

During this morning meal I try to convince Ed that our bakeries bake cookies (same ones everywhere -- chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin) that are too big, too ordinary, and therefore inappropriate for a holiday plate which insists on variety and maybe a little surprise. Full disclosure: he does not agree. Break off what you want from the big cookie -- he tells me, missing entirely the impact of visual pleasure of snacking and sampling

Lol @ break off what you want from the big cookie and stop with the ruminating, woman...

I really think the best humor sometimes is in the off comments, the unintended humor maybe. lol

Henry Kissinger, War Criminal Beloved by America’s Ruling Class, Finally Dies

The infamy of Nixon's foreign-policy architect sits, eternally, beside that of history's worst mass murderers. A deeper shame attaches to the country that celebrates him

What is Henry Kissinger most known for?
Kissinger played a key role in the U.S. carpet-bombing Cambodia during the Vietnam War, which killed thousands of civilians and helped enable the rise of the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime.

I hope they all were kind to one another today... Gracious.

Ms. Rosalynn would have liked that, I think.  Nice blend, immigrant, urban woman, southern conservative, northern liberal... they really have more in common in where they lived and what they went through than they knew.  I wish Diana might have had something like that: a precedent she could have sat with, at one point or another in life... Maybe they passed social/business cards and can keep in touch? #GraceInAction

10 degees.

Still November... Stay warm, and for heaven's sake, if you keep animals outdoors, protect them! Nature doesn't mean surrendering lives in your care to the elements just because you are lazy and think their lives worth little in the long run...

If you can't care for them properly, don't keep them, please. Cruelty doesn't make you stronger a man, it makes you look weak and sad. Hth.  #RespectLife

ADDED:  ... and please, none of this "Predators Gonna Prey" bullhockey. That's not acknowledging Nature so much as showing your cruelty, and natural stupidity, if you clean up "bloody messes" in an unprotected chicken coop more than once in life.  Learn faster, and value all life.  We do. Makes you stronger, and less dependent on others to care for your own.

Independence > Wealth, any day of the week, for true value's sake.  God Bless America, when we're on the top of our competitive game.  When we're not, just remember fellas? No matter how much you think you're amassing, men like Hunter Biden will always be able to top you in that "fixed" game. Megan McCain, and the Bush and Obama girls too, lol.

Is that really what we value in America today? Are we really so afraid of fairplay -- the odds you might be topped by the bottom -- that you're willing to give up your independence to game the odds? lol, fools in the long run, fellas... Fools.

Da Bears!

 How 'bout them Bears?

Lol, just waking up... checking the scores, can I help it? I love it when the longtime locals -- so arrogant up here, such legacy lives, plenty of them... -- are humbled in their games.  Packers. Vikings.  Parity is good people, in games and wars, I am telling you...

Makes you stronger in the end.  More appreciate when the wins aren't ... "guaranteed". Make it a great rest of the week.  Keep on reading, and eating, and please stop manipulating the system to "produce" wins for your own.  You take the sportsmanship out of the games when it's all "fixed", you know.

Hth. Go get 'em next week now. and be more humble if at all possible, purple people.

Did you know... CINDY MCCAIN is in charge of getting food relief into Gaza?

Mother of Meghan, wife of the late John "never met a foreign war he didn't support" McCain...  of all the people in the world, we had to put a somebody's wife in this leadership position?  Please...  your family has "helped" enough.

Devex Newswire: WFP staffers call for McCain's resignation over Gaza

Staffers’ letter says Cindy McCain is "not fit for office" and "doing damage to WFP’s reputation" by failing to call for a cease-fire in Gaza.

“Thank God she’s home,” Mr. Biden told reporters in Nantucket, Mass., where he has been marking the Thanksgiving holiday. “I wish I was there to hold her.”  Avigail, whose name has been rendered as Abigail in American media, is a dual U.S. and Israeli citizen and was seized during the Hamas terrorist attack on Oct. 7 after her parents were killed. Her case has been the focus of widespread international attention and concern as she marked her fourth birthday on Friday. She was among a total of 17 people held captive who were turned over on Sunday, and Mr. Biden said she was “safely in Israel."

America's Sickness"In your custody, in your care"

The police officer who was convicted of murdering George Floyd during a 2020 arrest that set off a wave of protests, was stabbed at a federal prison in Tucson, Ariz., on Friday...

The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed that an inmate at the Tucson prison was stabbed at 12:30 p.m., though the agency’s statement did not identify Mr. Chauvin, 47, by name. No other inmates or prison staff were injured, and the situation was quickly contained, according to the people familiar with the situation. Emergency medical technicians “initiated lifesaving measures” before transporting the inmate to a local hospital “for further treatment and evaluation,” bureau officials wrote. No details were immediately available on his condition, but one of the people with knowledge of the incident said that Mr. Chauvin survived the attack. ...Mr. Chauvin is White.

If we no longer respect Rule of Law in this country, if our professor emeritas law professors have resorted to whoring themselves out like OnlyFans girls asking for "tips"/prezzies for their birthday, if the prisons can no longer protect the people entrusted in their care, they should release this man and let him fend for himself.  No fair locking him up and using him for target practice.  God help America...

When force matters more than brains, we've skewed the incentives in the system.  Let all the kids coming up on their killer video games "create" artificial intelligence and be slobbered over for what they bring to the table, as for me and mine... We Will Survive while the rest of you kill your ways to "the top" and get fat on your riches...

"In your custody; in your care..."  Remember that line, anyone??

Parity.

The best thing that could happen in the world now is for the Gazans to have a military protector like Israel has found in the United States.

Israel's IDF soldiers are afraid to die.  They understand that more soldiers' lives will be lost pursing the enemy:  Hamas, underground in the tunnel complex.

So, they take out their rage on the non-combatants above ground, pounding their homes and upping the death count.  The goal is to drive all of the Palestinians out of Gaza, to make the place uninhabitable and drive the people into neighboring countries...

The Gazans understand this.  They won't flee as they did in 1948, essentially "displacing" themselves.

Poor America refuses to listen to non-Israeli, non-Jewish voices on the conflict. We are not helping, but are putting our own country in danger, financing these war crimes killing civilians.

The whole world is watching... and we know who Benjamin Netanyahu is, the corruption he created in his own country before his current bloodbath he is overseeing...

If only Iran, or Russia, or China could provide a counterweight to our US weapons, and make the Israelis understand that killing civilians will only cost them their own.  I don't wish ill on the Israelis, nor the Americans who hold dual citizenship.

But if Force must meet Forcd to end the reliance on military might, then I pray another world leader steps in soon to end this once and for all...  #Change

Thursday, November 23

Oh, honey... This is an American concern, not just Jewish Americans care about Human Lives.

$14 billion dollars from our tax money is paying for this. Plus all the ongoing "defensive" financial support over the years.

We all human here.  More than ever, we see the images uncensored by our mainsteam media...

We too understand how the hostage families feel, not knowing if their loved ones are dead except for those who have received "proof of life" videos. Some of us think it sickening too the way these children are being propagandized as Missing milk carton kids, their fading faces on weathered flyers posted "in your face" by Jewish-American activists who believe Americans do not care about other people's innocents.

I wish the NYT would not play into this propaganda.  Many many American tables today will have multi-generations discussing the wars.   Christians, Muslims, atheists too,  I suspect.  Blacks Whites Hispanics Jewish and all the overlaps too (ie/white Hispanics, black Jews, etc)

We too eat and argue, question and digest, agree to disagree, and pray for peace.  This war has affected lives way beyond Jewish ones; shame on those who would pretend otherwise...

It's yet another war, and America owns this one too.  Wake up already.

With Israel at War, Thanksgiving Is Fraught for Some Jewish Families

Even families that are used to arguing over dinner are feeling new tension this year, as members from different generations disagree about supporting Israel.

There is a big difference between supporting Israel's right to defend herself on the American dime and what they are doing right now that will only ensure Israel is a Most Hated Nation for years to come for killing so many innocent people to secure her land holdings.

Americans support a War on Hamas. What we're paying for is a War on Gaza.  Israel is the Goliath in that battle, with the poor non-Hamas Palestinians being pounded because it is safer for Israel's Army than targeting Hamaas.  The military strategy ensures Israel will lose... so long as one Palestinian is left standing in the regions the right-wing Netanyahu government wants to annex.

More criticism, more discussion, more ... honesty in acknowledging the facts in evidence.  The Jewish people have given many gifts to the American people.  We owe it to our brothers and sisters not only to pray for peace in their homeland, but to help them become an independent nation that can settle their differences -- and defend their borders -- not just with the Iron Dome system American taxpayers have paid for, but in good relations with the Palestinian people who like the Israelis want clean water, secure shelters and futures for their children.

If you do not understand that shared sentiment, it will be hard for Israel to survive in the region in coming generations, I think.  We need CHANGE and we needed it decades ago.  Now, the young people of America will force it, I suspect.  Take that torch, if the politicians in Washington are unwilling to pass it...

Justice will be done, Life goes on, and the strongest survive.  These ongoing wars, and the worship of weapons, will be the death of America otherwise.  The young people know that; the aged ones scurrying about creating busywork for themselves never learned.  #ChooseLife  #RealLife>artificialintelligence

God Bless America.

Hey Hey Ho Ho, this focus on "Identity Reporting" Has Got to Go...

It's amusing they think they could replicate a "Black Thanksgiving Table" to me.  As if there isn't a spectrum, and you capture the essence in one sitting.  Lol.

Polls suggest they might be. So we convened a very special Thanksgiving focus group to try and understand why.  53m ago

Oy. Here come the ladies wanting theirs...

The big Drama! of the recent reshuffling of an artificial intelligence company has made big news, bumping the War on Gaza off the front pages in some circles.

It's over.  The fella maximized his compensation by getting hired by a rival, and having his "demands" met by his original company before he came back...

Here come the glommer girls who want theirs.  A lady reporter who has made her name by being... a lady reporter with a quiver full of adjectives and frowny-face insults for the fellas running the show. She forgets, in pushing women candidates for the board, that it's whats between your ears, not your legs, that matters in building a brave new world.

Didn't you retire to raise your family and write your memoirs? Let the players play, and stop thowing cheat shots from the sidelines already.  Women who work, and can best compete, should be hired.

IT's what you know, not who you know, that matters most in the 21st century now.  You can only ride your contacts to the top, but it's your own work that keeps you there... or not.  Brand that?

I’ve got binders full of women.

One of the biggest tasks ahead for OpenAI is building a new board - one that includes women: The names of several women were floated including @laurenepowell and @marissamayer but deemed too close to @sama.

* She's got a lot of money, but she's no Mitt Romney...

That line didn't go over well the first time either. Americans don't want people like Mitt or Kara to hand place ladies in professional positions or on boards.  That's why our country today is where it's at.  We're growing more diverse, breaking open those monied circles at the top that act as closed-networks promoting their own picks.  The whole world is sending qualified candidates in all fields now:  media, technology, science, medicine, law, etc.

Networking matters sure, but not if you can't get the job done in the end, or your talents for branding and self promotion outweight the actual writing and reporting skills you are being paid for.  Hth.
